Area Director
An area director is basically a partner to help expand the Squeegee Squad franchise organization in larger territories in exchange for a sharing of initial franchise fees and ongoing royalty fees.
This model closely mimics the expansion of the first Twin Cities market. Jack and Joe developed a customer base in the entire Twin Cities metro area, started to franchise in 2006, sold the south metro as a franchise to a customer, collected the initial franchise fee, collected revenue from the already developed customer base and continue to collect ongoing royalties. The model worked well as Jack and Joe were geographically better able to support the new franchisees.
As an area director is growing the “anchor” franchise, this franchise generates revenue while paying half of the royalty, gets the brand out quickly and makes selling additional territories at full retail price easier than in an unknown entity. Squeegee Squad believes the best way to promote a franchise organization is by growing solid profit-making window cleaning units as a model in new markets. Area Directors can expect to advertise the franchise on every piece of marketing material used by the operating unit. Truck decals, yard signs, brochures, door hangers, direct mail, and employee uniforms should all have the phrase “Franchise Opportunities Available”.
Area directors are typically responsible for advertising the franchise and ongoing support of new franchisees. The franchisor is typically responsible for initial training of franchisees and signing the Franchise Disclosure Document.
